Saucy Dogs in Island of Hawaii

The Chicago veggie dog was very good. The veggie dog had the consistency of a normal dog which I totally appreciated. My husband had the chili bowl and it was great! The staff was very friendly. I’m not giving it 5 stars because when you walk into the place it makes you second guess your choice to eat there based on the first impression of the establishment. But get past that, the food is really good.

Such amazing and delicious dogs! I love the variety they have both in the meat (and nonmeat) department and the topping options. Relatively cheap for what you're getting as well. Great bang for your buck!

The Mac n cheese dog with Portuguese sausage was incredible! The Mac n cheese tasted amazing on its own and the Portuguese sausage was also really delicious. Very filling and it also came with a bag of chips. Great deal and great staff!

Great staff, extra saucy dogs! Order the Mac attack- you won't regret it.

This is a must visit place when in Hilo. The folks are friendly, the menu is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the hot dogs are very delicious! Highly recommended!

Super cool little local restaurant. The aloha dog was delicious. They have a wide variety of meats for the dog (chicken, sausage, beef, and even vegan dogs) and some fun custom dogs! Would highly recommend for a small, quick, fun twist on the typical hot dog!

Saucy dogs are just that saucy ! Toppings galore with tasty hot dogs in the middle. Messy - yes. Tasty - heck yes. If you need a quick bite while window shopping this is a great place to stop !

They were one of the venders for the July 4th event at the Waianaku Executive Center. The food was just average. Definitely not worth the cost. The worst part however was the disorganization. Some people didn’t even receive their food for more than an hour. And these were hotdogs, not some gourmet meal. People were (unfortunately) yelling at the employees because they were so frustrated. The employees did not write down the orders or hand out receipts which made it extremely hard to figure out whose order was being served. Some food sat out in the open and uncovered for 15 min or more with flies all over while the employees tracked down the people who ordered.

Gotta love their unique spin on hotdogs which leave a lasting impression on its customers via creativity, quality, selection, and taste! Thumbs way up! An absolute must for visitors of downtown Hilo!

Great hot dogs, I mean - seriously great hot dogs!I know those aren't normally words you'd put together but in this case the quality of everything was exceptional (As in good).Lots of different toppings, sides and soft drinks all within a vintage surfer rock and roll themed tiny diner. There are a few seats but I'd say this is a pop in and purchase for eating at the beach or on the road kinda place.Lovely young couple who run the place too, hopefully they can get a larger premise in the future but as is it is probably the best place in Hilo for fast food and I'm sure you'll agree if you try it out yourself.

Really cute place with amazingly perfected hot dogs on a rotating menu. Right now, my favorite is the Aloha with the pineapple and jalapenos. So good.

My hubby tried the Aloha Dog and it was Love...they make their own bread for the buns and offer a wide variety of hot dogs ...Very affordable @ great value $8 for an outstanding place. Cute couple from Portland, Oregon. Mahalo 😁😁

They are so friendly here!! The hotdogs were unique and so good! Great for a fast and reasonably priced meal. I got the Lava Dog. It was amazing. Will definitely recommend. They are even BYOB.

Cute little restaurant but just don't walk past it like I did. There isn't a big sign and the shop is really small, but they cook up some great dogs.

I tried the Hawaiian style hot dog which had a lot of toppings on it. The red colour on the Hawaiian hot dogs don't seem to change the flavour that much. I really enjoyed the sweet pineapple contrast that it had.

Amazing, unlike any dog you've had before. They just started making their own buns 6 months ago and they are wonderful, similar taste to a sweet Hawaiian roll. The dogs are cooked great and toppings are great, chips are great. We tried the aloha and it was...great! Even the staff are awesome, over the top friendly and appreciative of your business.
